The Ashland Evening Lions is a service-based organization, meaning we serve our community. Below you can see what different committees within the Lions Club provide services.

Sight & Hearing Committee

The Sight & Hearing Committee has been volunteering with local schools to aid in the vision and hearing screening for students at Taft and Osborne Elementary School.

They also assist families who need help getting eye exams and glasses for children through the local school districts.

Civic Committee

The Civic Committee does highway clean up along St. Rt. 250 East.

They are also responsible for the "welcome" signs as you enter and leave Ashland.

This committee also heads a food drive for Associated Charities every Thanksgiving and Christmas to help families in need in our community.

   
Trailer Committee

The Ashland Evening Lions has a food trailer that is used at some local events such as the Antique Farm Machinery Show and local craft shows as well.

Salvation Army Bell Ringers Committee

This committee assists the local Salvation Army raise money for those in need in our community by ringing the bells at our local Hawkins Market. All proceeds from this volunteer work go straight to the Salvation Army and right back into our community.

   
Clowns Committee

Our Lions Club has a Clown Group that helps to raise funds for the Club by working at area events and outings.

Tents Committee

This committee rents tents for events like graduations and weddings. This is again another fund raiser for the Club.

   
Donor Organ Transport Committee Garage Sale Committee

This committee collects goods to be sold at a garage sale held every year. This sale is another fund raiser used by the Club.

   
Geranium Sales Committee

This committee heads the sale of geraniums every year as a fund raiser for the Club.

Drawing Committee

This committee holds yearly drawing ticket sales as a fund raiser for the Club. In the past we have given such items as a snow blower, guns & rifles, and even cash prizes.

   
Indoctrination Committee

This committee is responsible to hold indoctrination meetings for new members and provide them information about heir local Club, Zone, District, and International

Membership Committee

This committee is responsible for Club growth and membership retention. They are to keep contact with members who are delinquent in attendance or dues. And they are responsible to keep the Club pictorial up to date.

   
Youth Committee

Every year the Youth Committee selects 3 candidates for college scholarships.

The Youth Committee also donates to local charitable organizations that aid children such as Camp Echoing Hills and The Special Olympics.

Diabetes Awareness Committee
